Central Burgenland – quality red wines,
the Blaufränkisch grape giving a great deal of character
Horitschon in the HEART OF THE BLAUFRÄNKISCH LAND
The way in which Count Trauttmansdorff develops
and blends his wines is a novelty in Austria. Not in the “traditional
way of making wine”, but cooperation with Franz Weninger
and the world-famous oenologist Mario Olivero from the
Marchesi Alfieri/Piemont wine estate has resulted in wines
of world-wide acclaim.
Max Trauttmansdorff, also active in the Marchesi Alfieri family wine estate, has set his target to lend typical Austrian grapes a personal and unusual note.
Exciting and drinkable fine wines develop, which with their complexity and profoundness offer a welcome experience to all wine lovers. This wine takes the best of Burgenland and adds a little of the style of Grand Cru Bordeaux. Something special for now, or for a decade or more in the future.
